Channel on demand provides content providers / broadcasters with their own branded environment for video on demand or catch up TV content. Customers can access the service directly via the main video on demand service or via the linear broadcast channel by pressing the red button. A CMS provides the capability to manage the service on a day-to-day basis.
At Chellomedia and Liberty Global I lead the product definition of this product and worked closely with the development teams to ensure the product was in line with the requirements and product strategy. I also worked with local UPC affiliates and content partners to guide them on to the platform and capture their requirements. Over a period of 3 years we launched over 20 channel on demand in 5 countries. Content providers included Disney, HBO, Turner, Fox and many local broadcasters.
