KidZone is a thematic zone mosaic bringing together content from different broadcast channels in a kids friendly environment. The mosaic automatically blocks content that is not appropriate for children based on meta data and follows age restriction set at a box level by the parents.
At Chellomedia I was the product lead for KidZone and thematic zones. I also lead a strategic initiative to provide a cross platform kids offering.
Thematic zones can be an important addition to a platform when clustering different types of content such as linear broadcast, video on demand, music, games and editorial content. It provides customers with an additional entry window to discover content available on the platform.
